This is certainly an interesting read, though I'm skeptical of the way it was marketed.
If there was a simple strategy to consistently beating the market that anybody could access with the click of a button, everyone would be rich. Unfortunately, the world doesn't work like that.
A trading edge is formed by displacing returns from risk, producing alpha. On wikifolio, these portfolios are marketed on the front page despite only displaying such trends for short bursts of time.
The tools you mentioned earlier (RSI, etc.) are useful, sure, but publicly available. The last thing they are is a step towards creating a money machine.
With that said, I appreciated this piece and your opinions. I'm fascinated by wikifolio, Public, and other platforms that have emerged recently, and I'm curious to see what happens with them in the future.
